We're members of the Residential Property Surveyors Association (RPSA) and Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB). Add to that a decade in the construction and surveying industry and you know that our surveys and advice are based on the highest quality of knowledge and experience.
Our modern surveying approach begins with understanding your circumstances. We then tailor our information to include key details that may seem small to everyone else but are huge to you.
For example, let's say you have a baby on the way and are upgrading to a larger house. Our inspection of the kitchen may include an assessment of how many plug sockets are available. You're going to need as many as possible for the steriliser, microwave, and the all important kettle for those early morning feeds.

MEET THE TEAM
Sam Costigan (MCIOB)
Head Building Surveyor | Managing Director
Sam is the founder of My Property Surveyors and head building surveyor. Sam has a wealth of knowledge in the construction industry with 10 years experience, mostly in a residential setting.
Sam started My Property Surveyors in 2020 after deciding that his knowledge and ability to make technical information understandable, could benefit the people of Yorkshire greatly!
Fun Fact
Sam does a lot of the website and content creating himself and so to go along with Sam's job titles of Head Building Surveyor and Managing Director, Sam is also Head of IT, Lead Web Designer and Head of Financial Services
Jo Hooley
Office Manager | Head of Marketing
Jo is likely the first person you will speak to when contacting My Property Surveyors. With over 20 years experience in the property industry ranging from estate agencies to independent surveying firms, Jo brings a wealth of knowledge to the company.
Jo started working for My Property Surveyors in September 2021 and has already helped to grow the company and improve efficiency tenfold! With Jo's experience, she is particularly liked by first time buyers as she is keen to offer advice and explain the whole home buying process, not just our part in the process.
Fun Fact
Jo started at My Property Surveyors with the aim of being Office Manager, to help Sam improve the efficiency of the company. As well as Office Manager Jo is also a keen Director of Marketing, Head of Calendar Organisations and Director of Agony Aunt Operations.
